The Community Regeneration Team coordinate and facilitate engagement and empowerment at a local level. Their key stakeholders will be organisations, groups and individuals based, and with expertise, in communities. The team will encourage, support and promote;
* Effective community engagement; * Opportunities to influence area committees; * Neighbourhood management and area delivery plans; * Active citizenship in our communities; *Removing barriers for groups not yet involved.
The team consists of three posts;
Community Engagement Coordinator who supports representatives on the local strategic partnerships. The coordinator runs quarterly local forums in each of the city wedges
Community Empowerment Coordinator who will make sure a diverse and reflective cross section of our sector have there say and influence local plans.
Community Regeneration Team Manager who will lead the team and their developments and will be the main contact for ‘Sharing the Success’, pREParation training and the Community Health Development Network
The team will coordinate local events, workshops and focus groups for both inner and outer city areas, linking directly into the area management and area committees’ discussion topics and delivery plans. They will help the sector to make sure that local delivery matches citywide strategy and vice versa.
