  Preparation Training - An Overview

Leeds Voice exists to strengthen and represent the voluntary, community and faith sector throughout the Leeds Metropolitan district. We do this in the following ways:

  • Building the capacity of the sector and securing recognition as full and respected partners.
  • Enabling voluntary, community and faith sector representation and participation at a local level.
  • Actively supporting the sectors by promoting communication and partnership, through information sharing, networking and strategic advocacy.
  • Ensuring that all our work is underpinned by a commitment to recognising and valuing the diversity of our city.

We fulfil part of this mission through our representational structures. These bring the voice of the sector to strategic meetings and enable us to play our part in decision making. They also provide cross sector recognition for the voluntary, community and faith sectors contribution to community regeneration.

pREParation is our attempt to make this happen smoothly and effectively. It is a guide to the maze that is strategy, partnership working and decision making in Leeds. The workshops that make up pREParation will be short, snappy and practical giving you the information, knowledge and skills needed to get involved in decision making.
