Supporting Links to Commissioning

A newly commissioned project within Leeds Voice will see the voluntary community and faith sector receive more support to become more aware of the Commissioning agenda and gain capacity around commissioning and procurement issues.

The project is funded until March 2011 and will include the development of:

• A training needs analysis,
• Good practice Commissioning workshops,
• A Commissioning Forum - to be held every quarter,
• The launch of the Compact Commissioning Code of practice
• Completion of a review of the “Ripples Effect” for the current economic contribution of the VCFS in its first year.

Other work for the duration of the project will include regular commissioning forums, representation development and developing links between local, sub-regional, regional and national activities, which will maximise opportunities to progress the Leeds agenda.

To ensure that the project meets the agreed outcomes the project will be co-ordinated by a Commissioning Links Manager who will be based within Leeds Voice and work has already been started with the development of the Training Needs Analysis and the development of the Commissioning Tool kit and commissioning workshop. All information, documents and initiatives developed within this project will be included within this page.
