Mapping of the Common Core Skills within the Voluntary, Community and Faith Sector

Purpose of this Report

The purpose of this report is to present the initial findings of the Children’s Workforce Development Project’s mapping of the VCFS awareness of the Common Core Skills and Workforce Reform Strategy, and the training needs of the sector and the perceived barriers to training, to the Children Leeds Workforce Reform Group and to agree actions as a result of the findings of the report.

The purpose of this report is also to inform both the Workforce Reform Group and the Integrated Strategic Commissioning Board of the Voluntary, Community and Faith Sectors involvement in the new workforce reform standards and in particular the Sectors involvement in the Nationally agreed Common Core Skills.
