Children Leeds Partnership: Consisting of a variety of partners from across the city, the Children Leeds Partnership meets on a six weekly basis and including the Leeds Voice representatives has representative members from:

  • Children and Young People’s Social Care; working with some of the most vulnerable children and families in the city, supporting them to have lives that we would want for all our children and young people.
  • Community Safety; creating safer and stronger communities.
  • Early Years Services; providing accurate up to date childcare, information and advice to parents and carers of children in Leeds.
  • Education Leeds (including schools); providing all education support services relating to children and young people of statutory school age.
  • National Health Service; providing access to a comprehensive range of services throughout primary and community healthcare, intermediate care and hospital based care.
  • Probation Service; minimising the impact of crime on communities and working to rehabilitate offenders given community sentences and those released from prison.
  • West Yorkshire Police; a progressive force with innovative policing at the forefront of crime fighting.
  • Youth Offending Service; reducing fear of crime in communities.
  • Integrated Youth Support Service; working to engage and support those young people in the most need, living in areas of social deprivation or struggling against discrimination.

The Partnership is chaired by Councillor Stewart Golton, the executive lead member for children's services and its primary focus is to set visions, values, strategies and long term direction. The partnership also advocates on behalf of children and young people and has representation from them at its meetings.
