The Environment and Neighbourhoods Coordinator will follow the ‘think global, act local’ paradigm.

The Environment Forum brings together local community groups such as those improving the environment in Leeds’ neighbourhoods and local branches of national groups campaigning on global issues and helps them to influence environmental strategy and policy in Leeds and beyond.

The Neighbourhoods element of the coordinators role involves promoting and supporting the work of groups working to improve local environments and encouraging partnership working to improve environments at a neighbourhood level as well as supporting VCFS groups to influence locality-based environmental decision making in each of the three ‘wedges’ of Leeds.

The coordinator is responsible for ensuring groups in Gipton and Seacroft engage with local decision making.
