The Leeds Voice Health Forum is a Network of 300 Voluntary, Community, and Faith Sector (VCFS) Organisations impacting on the health and wellbeing of the population of Leeds.
The aim of the Health Forum is to contribute towards improving health and wellbeing in Leeds by facilitating a network that enables the VCFS to play a meaningful role in strategic decision-making and delivery of health services.
The Main Areas of Work for the Health Forum Include;
- Developing relationships and promoting understanding of the role of the VCF sector within the new Leeds Primary Care Trust and Leeds Social Care Services
- Ensuring meaningful involvement of the VCF sector in the development of the new commissioning framework including influencing debate on procurement and funding processes.
- Supporting the development of the Leeds Community Health Development Network and Leeds Men’s Health Network.
- Meaningful and effective involvement and influence within the Healthy Leeds Partnership and its Executive and subgroups, the Scrutiny Board (Health and Adult Social Care) and the Healthier Communities and Older People Block of the Leeds Local Area Agreement.
