In April 2008 Leeds PCT set out its 3 year Strategy “For better health for all” describing how the organisation will move towards its vision; "To improve health and wellbeing, reduce inequalities and transform health services for the people of Leeds by working with others and being a leading edge organisation".
The Strategy has been developed by listening carefully to the health and wellbeing priorities of the public, patients, service users, carers, staff and partners across Leeds. NHS Leeds has taken these priorities, those set by the Department of Health and areas that it knows need improvement to describe and agree 10 strategic objectives.
The full strategy sets out the commitment of NHS Leeds to become the trusted community leader delivering these 10 objectives between 2008 and 2011, and taking steps to deliver the vision. The organisation will share progress towards the delivery of the 10 objectives on an annual basis.
There are a variety of partnership meetings and Boards that fall within NHS Leeds and the Leeds Voice Health Forum has agreed representatives on the following partnerships:
- Fuel Savers Board
- Sexual Health Partnership
- Teenage Pregnancy and Parenthood Partnership Board.
- Patient Advisory Group
The forum is trying to establish its relationships and develop representation around Practice Based Commissioning and other areas of work within NHS Leeds now that the new areas and structures have been developed. |
